Venom Let There Be Carnage review: Tom Hardy sequel is wacky and funny if a bit rubbish | Films | Entertainment

To be fair to Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the follow-up is a better film than the original, partly thanks to director Andy Serkis.

From the beginning, Venom 2 is a wild and wacky ride. You could almost say this film is, well, carnage.

Now Hardy’s bond with his symbiotic is certainly the most entertaining part of the movie, like two housemates in a love-hate relationship.

While Venom himself, also played by the lead, provides plenty of laughs throughout, especially in a surreal scene set in a nightclub.
