Putting her best foot forward again tonight in Strictly Come Dancing, Ms Love has been dazzling many both with her witty words and many television appearances. What many don’t know is that a few years ago a zero-hour contract almost destroyed Christmas for the mum of two and her children, until a generous stranger came along.

Alongside the general expenses during the Christmas season, Ms Love also had to take into consideration her other expenses like bills and debts.

Ms Love added that her mother had already passed away from dementia by this point so she didn’t have close family to turn to either.

She said she went to a “place you’d go to when you ain’t got nothing”.

Yet even this loan firm refused her a loan as her credit rating wasn’t strong enough, this was when the generous employee helping Ms Love signed the loan in her own name.

DONT MISS:

“She got the loan out in her name, she gave it to me. It’s just one of those moments where you can’t believe you’re in that situation,” Ms Love added.

The emotional story touched many viewers who reached out on social media sharing their support and appreciation for seeing someone in Ms Love’s position being so openly vulnerable.

Ms Love shared with viewers that “we’ve all been through different stuff; and anybody that’s dealing with debt, there’s places and people that you can go to”.

Ms Love has quickly become a family favourite since joining the Loose Women panel in 2020, with some saying her popularity is due to her relatability, and now she takes to the Strictly dance floor tonight in a bid for the Glitterball trophy.

However, even before her Loose Women fame, Ms Love was not a stranger to the camera.

Ms Love has been a panellist on two separate comedy shows, 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as ITV2 Pilot of the Black History comedy show, Sorry, I Didn’t Know.

She also appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox in 2021 and Celebrity MasterChef in 2020 where she placed third in the competition.

Ms Love uses her position in pop culture to be an advocate for diversity in entertainment as well as education.

She got her first taste of being a comedian when performing a set in front of her class for a module during her own years in education, revealing the comedic side of caring for her mother.

Ms Love was born to Jamaican parents in London, and went on to study Community Arts and Social Science as well as a Masters in Social Work at Tavistock Institute whilst raising two children.

In 2011 she made her first stage debut and has seen success after success ever since, even receiving the 2019 London Critics Circle Awards.

Ms Love is due to appear alongside her dance partner Graziano Di Prima on Strictly Come Dancing tonight.
