Over the weekend DC Comics fans were treated to a whole host of exciting announcements at the DC FanDome. The annual event included a number of announcements, trailer reveals, actor appearances and a bunch of surprises. Included in the event this year was the first look at Black Adam. In the movie, former James Bond star Brosnan plays Doctor Fate.
Doctor Fate is an ancient being from Egyptian times who possesses a human host to use his powers for good.
In the upcoming film, Brosnan will be teaming up with a number of other heroes, including Hawkman (Aldis Hodge) and Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo) to take down the titular bad guy, Black Adam.
Speaking at DC FanDome, Brosnan said of the movie: “I’ve never seen the likes of it before.
“Having done James Bond for ten years, four films, nothing compares to this.”
The 68-year-old played 007 throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s, beginning with 1995’s Goldeneye.

Brosnan went on to star in Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Since then, the actor has starred in The World’s End, Percy Jackson and The Ghost Writer.
Considering he claims Black Adam will be a bigger project than all of these films, DC fans can certainly get excited for the upcoming movie.
Brosnan added: “Leading the whole charge is Dwayne Johnson.” Other members of the film described Black Adam as “brutal” and “uncompromising”.
Brosnan recently said he would love to play Bond again if it took place in a musical setting.
He said: “I am all in really. Daniel Craig doesn’t stand a chance! None of them do! None of them can sing like I do!”
Craig was then told about these comments by BackstageOL, who said: “[Brosnan] told me to tell you, if there is a James Bond musical, he is going to fight you for the lead.”
The No Time To Die star replied: “He can sing! I can’t sing, so it’s all his! I wouldn’t subject the world to that!”
Although Brosnan has first dibs on any James Bond musical that might arise, there is still a lot of speculation over who will take over from Craig.
Currently, Richard Madden is at the top of the odds with a healthy 9/4.
Behind him is Tom Hardy with a fantastic 3/1.
James Bond No Time To Die is in cinemas now.
Black Adam hits cinemas July 29, 2022.
