Royal wedding: Beatrice and Eugenie dazzle in designer gowns in Athens

Businesswoman Nina married Philippos in a religious ceremony in the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens yesterday. The celebrations followed the couple’s small civil wedding ceremony in December 2020.
Costing £3,500, the dress featured a long-sleeved grey bodice with a plunging and embellished neckline, attached to a long silky black skirt.
The gown was cinched in at the waist and tied with a chic bow.
This is not the first time royal fans have spotted Beatrice in the playful dress, as the Princess donned it in 2018 for the Global Gift Gala in London.
At the time, Beatrice matched the dress with a small black clutch bag and her hazel locks fell in waves down her shoulders.
DON’T MISS:
Yesterday, the Princess’ hair was in a half-up-half-down do, tied with a black bow.
She accessorised it with a small crocodile print black clutch bag.
Beatrice’s sister, Eugenie, opted for a completely different outfit – looking chic in all-black.
Arriving at the wedding with her husband Jack Brooksbank, the Princess wore a silk black dress by British-based designer Peter Pilotto.
Eugenie is a fan of the brand and even wore a Peter Pilotto gown for her wedding to Jack in 2018.
Yesterday, the Princess’ dress featured long sleeves and a slightly pleated skirt, cinched in around the waist in a ruched style that was decorated with gold buttons.
Eugenie and Beatrice are both friends with the bride, Nina, who is married to the Duke of Edinburgh’s godson and cousin, Philippos.
The bride looked stunning in a white Chanel gown, which she wore with a tiara and a long veil.
Nina paid tribute to her new mother-in-law by wearing the tiara which was gifted to Anne-Marie on her 18th birthday from her mother, Queen Ingrid of Denmark.
Made from a pearl and diamond corsage brooch, the tiara was inherited by Ingrid from her grandmother, Queen Victoria of Sweden.
Anne-Marie has scarcely worn the tiara over the years, but it was given to other royals on loan.
In 1995, the jewel was worn by Crown Princess Marie Chantal for her wedding to Anne-Marie’s eldest son, Pavlos.
It has also been worn by the King and Queen of Greece’s youngest daughter, Princess Theodora.
