‘This never happens!’ Designer transports audience with unique designs – ‘culture & style’

[ad_1]

Labrum London was founded by Foday Dumbuya in 2015, and the British African heritage brand is soaring in the fashion industry.

The stunning introduction from singer, Thabo, set the scene, and the sounds from the Mandé-Jazz band, Balimaya Project, set the tone.

The drum, vocals and percussion moved through the air until the passengers were ready for take-off.

Foday said: “I wanted to give people the Sierra Leone experience.”

The head ties, tribal masks and tie dye transported passengers to the Fashions Designer’s birthplace of Sierra Leone, and it was a successful trip.

DON’T MISS:

A Fashion Buyer said: “You don’t usually see standing ovations or cheering at shows. This never happens!”

Foday is the very first Sierra Leonean to debut a collection at London Fashion Week.

The Fashion Designer said: “My aim is to put Sierra Leone on the map.”

Last month, Labrum London made history, and this month the fashion label is honouring it.

Sierra Leone influences each and every aspect of Labrum London with the mission to tell the untold stories of West Africa.

He told Express.co.uk: “The only way to change the narrative of West Africa is to tell our own stories.”

Labrum London continues to both educate and celebrate West African heritage.
