Next James Bond: Billy Elliot stars join race for 007 in shock move | Films | Entertainment

Daniel Craig gave his swan song performance as James Bond in the recently released No Time To Die. The British actor played 007 for five films over the course of 15 years, but the time has come for a new star to take over. All bets are open as the fluctuating list of actors contains some of the biggest names in Hollywood royalty. However, it might all be about to change as some singing-and-dancing-men could be the next stars underneath the tux.
Marvel‘s newest superhero movie Eternals has catapulted Game of Thrones star Richard Madden to the top of the odds with 7/2 to take over as Bond (via Ladbrokes).
He is in good company, as shortly behind him is Tom Hardy of Venom fame with a staggering 4/1.
Although the pair have the top of the board covered, things are changing in the middle of the Bond odds.
A newcomer to the list is Jamie Bell, who has most recently appeared in Amazon Prime Video’s Without Remorse, as well as Fantastic Four. But he is perhaps best known for playing Billy Elliot in the 2000 film of the same name.

Bell currently has an impressive 10/1 to take over from Craig in the next Bond movie.
Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati said: “Billy Elliot to Bond is quite the career shift but that’s exactly what could be on the cards for Jamie Bell, who has seen his odds of replacing Daniel Craig as 007 tumble to just 10/1 this week.”
If Bell were to be inducted into the legacy of Bond, he would be one of the youngest 007 stars yet, at just 35-years-old.
However, even younger still is a Marvel star who is also in the running for the iconic role.
Could the next Bond actor be someone renowned for tackling social norms and taking on ballet? Could this be the beginning of a less testosterone-filled James Bond?
Of course, Bell and Holland would have to beat down a number of other stars in the list, including Regé-Jean Page.
The Bridgerton heartthrob has been in the top five of the Bond odds for almost an entire year, following the arrival of his Netflix hit.
The British-Zimbabwean actor currently has an impressive 5/1.
Page isn’t out of the woods just yet, however.
Just behind him is the McMafia star James Norton, who could be a swift underdog in the running.
He currently has 8/1 on becoming the next man of mystery, following Craig’s exit.
James Bond No Time To Die is in cinemas now.
