ABBA VOYAGE: How to buy ABBA concert tickets for 2022 | Music | Entertainment

[ad_1]

ABBA are back on TV tonight with a whole evening of shows on BBC2. It is sometimes easy to forget that the Swedish supergroup actually broke up in 1982. That is almost forty years ago. And yet their music is still everywhere, helped by more than just the enduring popularity of the tracks themselves. The musical Mamma Mia and subsequent films have helped ensure that ABBA are as popular now as then. But for decades, almost nobody dare dream that fans would ever again be able to see their idols in concert. Until now.  SCROLL DOWN FOR FULL ABBA VOYAGE TICKET INFORMATION AND CONCERT TICKET FLOOR PLAN

Over the years, the band notoriously turned down enormous offers of millions to reform on stage and now that they are all in their seventies, few expected it to happen.

The band have found an ingenious way of getting around this by creating state-of-the-art digital avatars, already commonly known as ABBAtars. All four members were filmed performing and then recreated in their youthful forms.

And fans only have a few months to wait before the shows begin in a new specially-built arena.

What new dates are available for ABBA Voyage?

The first tickets went on sale for the initial months May-September 2022. The show officially opens on May 27, 2022.

With the new dates recently released, fans will be able to book through to December 4, 2022.

How many new tickets will be available?

The new purpose-built ABBA Voyage concert venue in East London can hold 3,000 people. There will be up to 30 shows per month.

Where are the best seats at the ABBA Voyage concerts?

There are two options. The main floor area is general admission for standing tickets only, meaning fans can move around and dance. Obviously early comers can get a place right at the front.

The reserved seating wraps around the floor area and the two closest sections are A and E on either side. (See floor plan below).

Will ABBA perform live on stage? What songs will they sing?

The new concerts will feature digital recreations of the four band members Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Frida who will perform to the classic vocals of their greatest hits.

However, the show will also include the new vocals for the first two songs recorded for the upcoming album, I Still Have Faith In You and Don’t Shut Me Down. Benny and Bjorn explained that these are the only new songs that will be included because the other tracks had not been recorded when the ABBAtars were being created.

Will ABBA record any more new music?

Recent comments from the band members have given very different responses to this burning question.

Benny said (with Björn nodding in agreement): “This is it. I didn’t actually say that, ‘This is it’ in 1982 [when we split]. I never said myself that ABBA was never going to happen again. But I can tell you now: this is it.”

HOwever, Frida responded this week: “I have learnt to say ‘never to say never’ and I’m very surprised [at] Benny and Björn. And I cannot remember that this year we have probably said this must be the last thing we do.”
