2022 is set to bring luck to many star signs, but there are some important dates to circle in your diary. It comes as keeping an eye on the sun, stars, moons and planets can help navigate the cosmos’ influence – on everything from your love life, career and finances. 

January 14: The first Mercury Retrograte of 2022 begins 

A Mercury Retrograde simply means Mercury is moving backwards. 

According to American astrologer and tarot card reader Kerry King, Mercury Retrograte’s are “tricky seasons” so “it’s best to be super careful” when navigating them. 

Experts also advise to “double check everything, and not make any major moves”. 

February 1: Imbolc 

Imbolc or Imbolg, is also called Saint Brigid’s Day, and it is a Gaelic traditional festival, marking the beginning of spring. 

Experts say: “This is the time to make a to-do list of what you want to go out and manifest spring onwards.” 

March 20: Spring Equinox 

The official definition of Spring Equinox is: “The time at which the sun crosses the plane of the equator towards the relevant hemisphere, making day and night of equal length.” 

Therefore, everyone will be enjoying more sunlight than moonlight. 

This is the perfect time to “blossom, unfurl, stretch and get active”. 

Astrologers predict “a sense of renewal and hope” returning.

March 21: Jupiter forms a conjunction with Mercury

March 21 is set to be a “super date” for anyone thinkng about travelling. 

It is a great time to “broaden your horizons and go on a special outing”. 

To add to this, spring is in the air, so a season of growth and new possibilities are just around the corner.  

April 1: New Moon in Aries

The New Moon in Aries, more specifically means, anyone who has a planet falling within five degrees of the new moon, will experience a blast of assertive energy. 

This is ideal for anyone wanting to push forward with new ventures, relationships, schemes, roles, activities, and projects. 

May 1: Beltane

Beltaneis the Gaelic May Day festival. 

Most commonly it is held on the first day in May, or about halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. 

Astrolgers explain its significance: “Everything is starting to bloom, and this is a time of possibility and dreams.

“Anything can happen if you will it to. 

“Manifestation powers are at their height.” 

May 16: A lunar eclipse in Scorpio

A lunar eclipse in Scorpio is set to be a “powerful event”. 

With it brings the opportunity to “ask questions, research, do some digging, look behind the façade and get to the truth you seek”. 

June 21: Summer Solstice

Summer Solstice, also known as estival solstice or midsummer, occurs when one of Earth’s poles has its maximum tilt toward the Sun. 

It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere.

The Summer Solisice is when “the growth season has reached its peak and we are surrounded by life and abundance”.

“This is a festival of celebration of everything you’ve achieved so far in 2022, and who you have become.” 

June 28: Neptune Retrograde

Generally, Neptune Retrograde is associated with stripping away illusions, dreams and any realities which have clouded your vision.

Astrologers say this day is “a great time to explore your psychic gifts and try out tarot, oracle cards, crying, chakra healing, meditation.. see what works for you”.

August 1: Lammas

Lammas or Lammas Day, is also known as Loaf Mass Day, is a Christian holiday celebrated in some English-speaking countries in the Northern Hemisphere on the first day in August. 

The name originates from the word “loaf” in reference to bread and “Mass” in reference to the primary Christian liturgy celebrating Holy Communion.

For many this is the start of harvest, and a time to start preparing “ to turn inwards and reflect as autumn nears and the nights lengthen once again”. 

August 27: New Moon in Virgo

“New Moons are the activation time of the month,” Kerry reveals. 

“Virgo is all about organisation and duty, so focus on making improvements in your work and task-related world.” 

It is the perfect time to “reschedule obligations, streamline chores, [and] apply for things you want to do”. 

September 23: Autumn Equinox

During the autumnal equinox, the sun shines directly on the equator, and the northern and southern hemispheres get the same amount of rays.

The days and nights are once again equal in length, and the year starts to turn colder and dark. 

“The autumn season is here, a time of reaping and gratitude.” 

October 30: Mars goes retrograde 

This occurs until January 2021, and Mars going retrograde brings a feeling of your drive, energy, passion starting to fade. 

It is suggested that you “make sure, by this date, you’ve activated all key decisions in your life due in 2022”.

“Get everything important, that you’re in charge of, on the go by mid autumn.” 

November 8: Lunar eclipse in Taurus

This day is important as it allows you to “focus on repairing and rebuilding your important relationships that feel as though they’ve encountered obstacles or tension this year”. 

“Reboot the vibe. Forgive and forget. Embrace them for who they are,” Kerry explains. 

November 21: Mercury conjunct Venus in Sagittarius

This day is perfect for anyone looking to “spend time with the object of your affection”. 

Saying that, they are advised to “let a scene or landscape help to elevate your relationship to the next level.”

November 21 is classed as a “major love day”. 

December 9: Venus in Sagittarius is square Jupiter in Pisces

The final day to pay attention to in 2022 is December 9 as it is time to “love and learn about your love life”. 

Kerry continues: “Seek life lessons from past relationships and see the trajectory of how this part of your life has developed.

“Understand who you are now, what you need in love, and how you’re going to make that a reality. Dream a dream.”
