It is worth noting that the state pension forecast is just that, a forecast. It is not guaranteed to be 100 percent accurate and does not take account of potential future increases in the value of the state pension.
The full new state pension is currently paid at a rate of £179.60 per week, making this the maximum amount a person can usually get. This provides a yearly income of £9,339.20.
However, the full new state pension will increase by 3.1 percent from April 2022, up to £185.15 a week. This £5.55 per week boost provides an additional £288.60 for the year.
Exactly how much state pension an individual is entitled to depends on their National Insurance (NI) record. The more qualifying years of NI contributions they have, the more state pension they can generally receive.
