Sarah Ferguson body language with Princess Eugenie and Beatrice shows ‘combined strength’

Sarah Ferguson, 62, became the Duchess of York when she married Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, in 1986. Two years later, Sarah gave birth to Beatrice, her eldest daughter, and, in 1990, she welcomed her second daughter, Eugenie, into the world.
Even though Beatrice and Eugenie now have their own families, the sisters’ bond to each other and to their mother is still strong, according to a body language expert.
The trio have been seen together on many occasions, from when the girls were children to just a few months ago.
In many of the pictures of them, the sisters and their mother are displaying affection towards each other – holding hands or with their arms around each other.
This suggests the women support one another and have a “friendship” outside their familial relationship, body language expert Judi James said.

Judi continued: “Fergie and her two daughters have always presented as the very tightest unit, with body language signals suggesting values like fierce loyalty and mutual support, as well as the kind of friendship trio that has led to a sharing of their social lives, too.
“They are clearly there to support one another under pressure but also there to party together during the fun times, too.”
The body language expert noted how the women regularly hold hands, saying: “This has emerged, under their current levels of pressure, in some even more emphatic hand-holding rituals.
“This is a gesture that begins with a parent to their child and which also shows unity between adult couples.

“Not only are Fergie and her girls using it now in what looks like an attempt to signal unity and combined strength and loyalty between themselves, Beatrice and Eugenie’s husbands are also being enlisted to make the family group look even more solid and reliable.”
Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020 and the pair have a daughter together, Sienna, who was born in September 2021.
Meanwhile, Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in 2019.
They have a son, August, who was born on February 21, 2021.
Judi went on to say the couples “seem to comfort and support each other and the behaviour is cyclical”.
She claimed: “The girls helped support their mother for years during the time she had been ‘banished’ from the Royal Family, and even though they are both still in the fold, it helped project the idea that they hadn’t abandoned her.
“She was supported by them at their weddings, when a tricky blend of Fergie and the royals occurred.”
Judi added that Sarah “also shows signals of protecting, defending, and supporting her daughters equally fiercely”.
The body language expert concluded: “Their husbands have been integrated into their ranks now and, although their body language looks a little less involved, the message of unity and combined strength is powerful.”
Sarah was last photographed in public last December during her book tour in Italy.
The Duchess’ debut novel, Her Heart for a Compass, was published in August 2021, and has been translated to Italian.
Sarah is an author of several children’s books and has also written a memoir, Finding Sarah: A Duchess’s Journey to Find Herself.
