When is the first day of Spring – Difference between solstice and equinox explained
[ad_1]
What is the difference between equinox and solstice?
Across the year we go through four season changes, and each is marked by either an equinox or a solstice.
The word ‘equinox’ comes from Latin and means ‘equal night’ as it is when the length of day and night is almost of equal length across the world.
One occurs in March, marking the beginning of spring, and the other in September, marking the start of autumn.
The spring equinox brings more sunlight hours across the day and warmer temperatures than we experience during winter season.
