Camilla Parker Bowles: Duchess shows ‘some inner anxiety’ in latest outing without Charles

Yesterday, February 10, Camilla Parker Bowles made her first public appearance since it was announced Her Majesty wants her to be known as Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King. The Duchess visited Paddington Haven to see how the community centre has been designed to combat social isolation and loneliness.
When asked by a member of the public about her future role within the Royal Family, Camilla said she was “very very honoured” to be known as the future Queen Consort.
The Duchess also added she was “very touched” by Her Majesty’s message.
On the eve of her Platinum Jubilee on Saturday, the Queen released a deeply personal statement, expressing her wishes for the future of the monarchy.
Camilla stepped out in public alone yesterday as it was announced Prince Charles had tested positive for coronavirus.

Clarence House confirmed, however, that Camilla had tested negative yesterday morning.
Although she has appeared in public without Prince Charles on many occasions in the past, body language expert Judi James claimed Camilla seemed “anxious” during her solo visit yesterday.
She also said the Duchess’ body language signified she will take some time to get used to her new role of Queen Consort.
Judi continued: “Telling people that she was ‘very honoured’ and ‘very touched’ by the Queen’s endorsement as future Queen consort, Camilla’s body language still suggests she will still take some time to ease into that role in terms of inner confidence.

“If anything, the announcement seems to have made her appear more humble than regal as she clutched her flowers like a torch while her free hand hung awkwardly at her side.
“She kept her hands clasped together as she made her comment and she still used the signature patting of the hair to suggest some inner anxiety about this solo visit.”
Judi mentioned Camilla’s “husband’s health could also have been on her mind”.
The body language expert went on to comment on Camilla’s facial expression, saying: “Her smile is still rather self-deprecating, with the corners turned down slightly rather than turning up in the traditional royal smile performed by both the Queen and Kate.”
For the visit yesterday, Camilla opted to wear a purple, green, and blue tartan striped blazer with a matching maxi skirt.
Underneath the skirt suit, the Duchess seemed to be wearing a white shirt with an upturned collar.
She finished the look with a pair of her trusty black suede boots, which had a small heel.
Camilla’s make up look was minimal and she wore gold dangling earrings featuring tiny pearls.
The Duchess also wore her usual collection of gold bracelets.
Royal fans were quick to express their opinions about Camilla’s look on Twitter.
