Melania Trump style: FLOTUS opts for recycled bespoke look for Summit in Washington

Melania Trump – wife of Donald Trump – is one of the most stylish First Ladies of all time. Being a former model she is no stranger to working with top designers and fashion houses from across the globe. On Friday, the iconic fashionista attended the National Opioid Summit in Washington, DC wearing a bespoke dress from Atelier Caito for Herve Pierre.

The 49-year-old mother of one opted for a conservative look as she addressed the audience at the Department of Justice.

Ditching her signature figure-hugging dresses, the First Lady wore a bespoke navy and white-trimmed collared dress with a fit and flare silhouette, a dress which she has worn on several other occasions.

The First Lady previously wore the same bespoke midi dress with patent navy heels while paying tribute to lives lost during 9/11 at the Flight 93 memorial in Shanksville, Pa. in 2018 with Donald Trump.

The former model will often show off her slim waist with fit and flare style dresses.

On this occasion the dress falls gracefully to just below the knee and has a belt, made of the same material, encircled around Melania’s waist, emphasising her model figure and tiny waist further.

FLOTUS combined the dress with a pair of black classic high-heeled pumps that are patent with a pointed toe.

The heels add a few extra inches to the First Ladies 5-foot 11-inch frame.

She wore her bronzed and lightly highlighted hair down – as she often does – in graceful waves that fell around her shoulders.

For the occasion, the 49-year-old mother of one opted for her usual face of makeup which included; a dark smokey eye shadow, rouged, bronzed and highlighted cheeks, groomed eyebrows and a tinted lip-gloss.

The First Lady also showed off her ginormous engagement ring on her well-manicured clear-tipped hands.

She chose not to wear any other accessories for the event.

The former model was joined by Attorney General William Barr at the National Opioid Summit in discussing her Be Best initiative that focuses on the major issues facing children today; the three pillars of Be Best are well-being, online safety, and opioid abuse.

The First Lady thanked Justice Department officials for their work fighting opioid addiction. She said: “Since its launch, I have used my initiative to shine a light on programs that show what it means to Be Best.

“This can be showing a simple act of kindness, providing care where there is a need, or teaching something valuable, my initiative is meant to promote the positive actions happening in our communities so they can be replicated throughout the country and across the world.”

Her appearance at the National Opioid Summit was the first lady’s second public engagement this week.

On Wednesday, Melania went to the State Department to congratulate recipients of the International Women of Courage award to kick start Women’s History Month, wearing an oversized black frock with long sleeves.

Melania Trump looked classy in the black garment that had a high neck and loose fit.

The dress had three-quarter length puffy sleeves with a navy frills at the end.

The former model will often show off her slim waist with fit and flare style dresses.

However, she opted to wear the black smock dress as she appeared in Washington.

The dress cut off at her knees and she braved the cold by keeping her legs bare.

She wore her highlighted brown hair styled into a bouncy blow-dry that sat on her shoulders.

Melania’s make-up was simple and she wore dark eyeshadow with a nude lipstick.

The US First Lady attended the IWOC Awards that are held every year and gave out prizes to the 12 winners.
