Philippe Coutinho wants Chelsea
Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho is expected to leave the club this summer and wants a move back to the Premier League, according to reports.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle have all been linked with a move for the former Liverpool man.
Coutinho is currently on loan at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga side will not make any permanent offer for his services at the end of the season.
Coutinho has scored nine goals and provided eight assists during his spell at Bayern this season.
But since leaving Liverpool for Barcelona, the Brazil international has struggled to have the impact the La Liga side would have wanted.
And Coutinho is likely to be sold this summer with Premier League clubs interested in his services.
The 27-year-old is understood to prefer a move to Chelsea over Manchester United and Newcastle though.
Erling Haaland to the Premier League
Erling Braut Haaland will end up in the Premier League at some stage of his career, but at the moment will be happy to stay and prove himself at Borussia Dortmund.
That’s the opinion of Norwegian icon Jan Aage Fjortoft, who believes the youngster has been a “sensation” so far this season.
“Haaland has been the sensation of the season,” he said. “Throughout his career, along with father Alf-Inge, he has been thinking of his development and what was the best arena for that.
“Right from the start, when I saw him score four for Molde against Bergen, I could see he had unbelievable movement and the eye of the tiger, a real hunger for goals.
“Juventus offered him a fantastic contract and there were lots of other clubs mentioned, but he chose Salzburg for his next stage.
“I saw him playing for them at Anfield in the Champions League. He came on as a sub and scored, but what I also saw was sensational movement.
“I ended up just watching him because of the way he created chances for himself and for his movement into space. He could have been one-on-one with the keeper three or four times if the passes had matched his runs.
“People see his goals, strength and enormous speed but what I noticed was how wise he is in creating space for himself.
“There’s one other thing. He was born in Leeds and his father played for two Premier League clubs, so he will end up in England one day.”
Philippe Coutinho latest
Chelsea and Newcastle have been given a huge boost in their attempts to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona this summer. Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has opened up on the loan attacker’s future, and confirmed that the Bundesliga leaders won’t be signing him.
Bayern had the option to make his stay permanent by forking out £107million for his services, but Rummenigge has confirmed they won’t be taking up the option.
“The option has already expired and we have not exercised it,” he said.
“Now we will have to complete the squad planning for next season and we will see if the player can still have a role to play with us or not.”
Man Utd star Marcus Rashford in contact with Jadon Sancho
Manchester United transfer target Jadon Sancho is in regular contact with Marcus Rashford ahead of a possible switch to Old Trafford this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add the England winger to his ranks as he looks to further improve his squad.
And BILD Head of Football Christian Falk has revealed Liverpool have never had any interest in the 20-year-old clearing the way for United to get a deal done.
The Red Devils have been chasing Sancho for months and have reportedly reserved the No. 7 shirt for the young star.
He told lfctransferroom: “So far we have no sign that Liverpool has ever had interest in Jadon Sancho, and if Jurgen Klopp really wanted to sign him, Dortmund would have already known that – Klopp would never try and bring a player from BVB without first contacting the German side.

“Manchester United has been chasing him for months.
“He is good friends with Rashford and they keep close contact with one another.”
Timo Werner to Liverpool ‘happening’
Liverpool have been linked with a move for impressive RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner this summer. The Reds are looking to add another strong link to their attacking line-up of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Werner has been in stunning form this season, netting 27 goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.
There has been speculation over whether Boateng would be offered a new deal to stay in Germany but the return from injury of Niklas Sule appears to be hastening the World Cup winner’s exit.
And now Fussball Transfers have confirmed that both Chelsea and Arsenal have expressed interest in the centre-back ahead of the summer window, while Hertha Berlin are also keen.
