Q1 Results

16) Kimi Raikkonen 17) Romain Grosjean 18) Antonio Giovinazzi 19) Nicholas Latifi 20) Kevin Magnussen

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc narrowly avoids the embarrassment of a Q1 elimination by going just eight hundredths of a second quicker than Alfa Romeo’s Kimi Raikkonen.

Last season’s Spa pole-sitter and team-mate Sebastian Vettel face a real fight to get into the top 10 with their SF1000s well off the pace in Belgium this weekend.

Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas, meanwhile, again assert Mercedes’ superiority by turning their engines up a notch to go fastest.

Max Verstappen is keeping them honest, though, with the Red Bull driver going third fastest in Q1.

Q2 Results

11) Daniil Kvyat 12) Pierre Gasly 13) Charles Leclerc 14) Sebastian Vettel 15) George Russell

Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel fail to make it into the top 10 for Sunday’s race after qualifying down in 13th and 14th respectively.

The Ferraris are well over a second slower than Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas as the Mercedes duo go fastest once again.

Joining Vettel and Leclerc in being eliminated are Williams’ George Russell and AlphaTauri’s Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly.

That’s the first time Gasly has been outqualified by his team-mate this season and he’ll be disappointed not to make it into Q3.

Q3 Results

1) Lewis Hamilton 2) Valtteri Bottas 3) Max Verstappen 4) Daniel Ricciardo 5) Alex Albon 6) Esteban Ocon 7) Carlos Sainz 8) Sergio Perez 9) Lance Stroll 10) Lando Norris

Lewis Hamilton obliterates his Q2 time twice to smash the track record Sebastian Vettel set at Spa back in 2018.

Valtteri Bottas is a little over half a second behind the Mercedes talisman but still qualifies in second.

Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo make up the second row for Red Bull and Renault respectively.

It’s a Red Bull and Renault line-up in fifth and sixth too, with Alex Albon and Esteban Ocon filling the grid slots.
