NFL draft 2020 LIVE: First round picks in full as virtual draft takes centre stage | NFL | Sport

The NFL Draft was due to take place amid all the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas this year but, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will instead take place in a virtual format.

The Cincinnati Bengals have the number one pick this year and are expected to take Joe Burrow.

The franchise are looking for someone to take over from Andy Dalton and Burrow impressed in his final year at LSU as the Tigers went undefeated as they clinched the college championship.

Washington have the No.2 pick, followed by the Detriot Lions, the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins, to round off this year’s first five.

Bengals have interest in trading No.1 pick

Bengals have received interest in trading their No.1 pick, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

However, Cincinnati are expected to keep hold of it as they look to make Burrow a franchise quarterback at the Paul Brown Stadium.

“The #Bengals, who have received interest and inquiries into the No. 1 overall selection,” Ian Rapoport said on Twitter.

“Won’t trade it and will make the pick, sources say.

“Not a surprise, but now official.”

Bengals head coach gives verdict on Joe Burrow

Ahead of the Draft, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor admitted they feel “very comfortable” with Joe Burrow as a prospect, however, didn’t he didn’t reveal that Cincinnati would take him with their No.1 pick.

Burrow has a record-breaking year for LSU, as he threw 60 touchdown passes and recorded 5,671 passing yards.

“We feel very comfortable with him as a prospect,” Taylor said.

“We talked to a lot of guys, but certainly formed a really good relationship with Joe, and been really impressed with everything we’ve seen from him.

“He’s as advertised. All the things we heard about him, we saw from our first meeting with him, and as we’ve gotten to know him over the last couple weeks.”
