Michy Batshuayi sale

Chelsea are actively looking to offload striker Michy Batshuayi in the upcoming transfer window.

That’s according to HLN, who claim David Moyes’ West Ham have expressed interest in the Belgium international.

The Blues signed Batshuayi, 26, from Marseille in 2016 for £35million but the centre-forward has struggled to make a significant impact at Stamford Bridge – being sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace.

Batshuayi, who has made just one Premier League start this season, is entering the final 12 months of his contract and Chelsea could opt to sell rather than risk losing him for free.

Jadon Sancho competition

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both entered the race to sign Jadon Sancho, according to German outlet BILD.

The Spanish champions seem determined to steal the Manchester United transfer target, and have apparently offered up Ansu Fati in exchange.

Dortmund have reportedly singled out the 17-year-old as their ideal replacement for Sancho, if they are forced into selling.

And with Barca offering him up in an attempt to reduce the transfer fee in a deal, it is likely that they could nudge themselves in front of United.

BILD claims Dortmund are considering the offer and believe they can complete a player-plus-cash deal to exchange Sancho for Fati providing there is no buy-back clause inserted in the deal.

Advanced talks

Chelsea are in ‘advanced talks’ with striker Tammy Abraham over a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham, 22, has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 34 appearances under Frank Lampard this season.

The four-capped England international’s £50,000-a-week contract is set to expire in June 2022 but Chelsea have offered the forward a lucrative five-year deal worth £7.85million-a-year (£150k-a-week).

“Chelsea are in advanced talks with Tammy Abraham for a new long-term contract until 2025. Blues have offered to him a wages of €8M a year,” tweeted journalist Nicolo Schira.

Yeferson Soteldo dream

Santos winger Yeferson Soteldo has spilled the beans on his “dream” of joining Manchester United.

The Venezuela international believes he is approaching the right moment to leave South America for Europe with Old Trafford his preferred destination.

“I don’t like rumours, I have my whole family in Venezuela,” Soteldo told El Drink Team Podcast via Gazeta Esportiva. “I always dreamed of playing for Manchester United, the dream remains intact.

“I’ve been following Cristiano Ronaldo since I was a child, I saw him at Manchester United and that’s why my love and desire to play at Old Trafford,” he said. “I would choose easy. I would make a lifetime contract.”

Odsonne Edouard to Arsenal

Arsenal have been told that it will cost them in excess of £25million to prise Odsonne Edouard away from Celtic.

Edouard has contributed 27 goals and 19 assists in 45 appearances and the 22-year-old’s prolific form has alerted a host of Premier League clubs.

Mikel Arteta is said to be a big admirer of the France under-21 international, who was on the books of Paris Saint-Germain before joining the Hoops in 2018.

“The biggest fee that a Scottish club have ever received for a player is the £25m Arsenal paid Celtic for Kieran Tierney last summer,” transfer expert Kaveh Solhekol said in a Sky Sports transfer Q&A.

“Someone would need to offer more than that for Celtic to be tempted to do business and that kind of money is unlikely to be flying round the transfer market during the next window.
