Manchester United are increasingly confident of completing a £60million deal for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent scouts to watch Dembele at least three times in the last six months as he tries to convince him to make a switch to Old Trafford.
Chelsea are also keen on the impressive former Celtic forward but the player himself has made sure United know he is their preferred choice.
The Daily Star claim Ed Woodward is now poised to make his move knowing Lyon may have to sell as they miss out on European qualification.

Wanted: Gerson
Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal and Tottenham both want to sign Flamengo midfielder Gerson.
That’s according to the player’s father, who appears to suggest that Mikel Arteta’s Gunners have the edge over their rivals.
“Nobody knew about Arsenal, but now that I’m telling you, everyone will know,” Gerson’s father Santos told Yahoo.
Asked whether the rumours of Tottenham and Dortmund’s interest was true, Santos added: “Everyone you hear there is true. But they have only enquired.”
Santos continued to explain why Gerson opted for Roma ahead of Barcelona in 2016.
“We had everything settled, signed,” he said. “But Barcelona only wanted to pay €8 million to Fluminense, who really needed the money. So, we decided to go with Roma, who offered €16m.”

Tanguy Ndombele staying
Tottenham have absolutely no intention of offloading Tanguy Ndombele.
The six-capped France international, 23, arrived in north London from Lyon for an initial £55million but has struggled to impress manager Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager hauled Ndombele off at half-time during a Premier League clash with Burnley and that has led to speculation of a summer move to Barcelona or Liverpool.
However, PA claim Spurs have no plans to sell or make the player available on a season-long loan elsewhere.

Lautaro Martinez wages
Barcelona are a step closer to signing Argentina international Lautaro Martinez.
That’s according to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim Inter Milan are unable to match Barcelona’s financial package.
The Spanish champions are reported to have offered the 22-year-old a long-term deal worth £8.75million (£170k-a-week).
But due to the financial impact of the Coronavirus, Antonio Conte’s side cannot match the offer Barcelona have made Martinez, who is currently paid £48,000-a-week at the San Siro.

Neymar ‘says no’
Neymar has rocked Paris Saint-Germain by informing them that he won’t sign a new contract and will demand a transfer this summer.
That’s according to Spanish outlet SPORT, which claims Neymar is hell-bent on returning to Barcelona this summer.
Neymar’s contract will expire in 2022, meaning PSG are in no rush to sell, but the longer they hold onto him, the less they are likely to get in way of a transfer fee.
Various French outlets have stated that the Ligue 1 champions are putting all their attentions towards Kylian Mbappe’s future, and will willingly let Neymar leave if it leads to Mbappe’s extension.
Mbappe’s contract runs out in 2022 as well, and PSG are reluctant to let him enter into the final year of his contract.

Charlie Webster to Chelsea
Chelsea youngster Charlie Webster is reportedly attracting attention from Borussia Dortmund ahead of a potential transfer to the Bundesliga giants.
The 16-year-old is one of the standout talents in the Blues’ academy and has already been earmarked to follow in the footsteps of Jadon Sancho.
Sancho is now being linked with a return to the Premier League and Chelsea are set to battle Manchester United for his services, with the Dortmund star valued at around £120m.
But Blues youngster Webster could pass Sancho heading in the opposite direction this summer, according to The Sun.
The latest report suggests that Dortmund have been told Webster could be available and the German outfit are considering signing up the top prospect.

Barcelona are now showing interest in the Brazilian while La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid are also considering a second approach having seen their January swoop fail.

Adrien Rabiot contact
Juventus could offer one of their midfielders to Manchester United in a bid to bring Paul Pogba back to the Allianz Stadium.
The 27-year-old has endured his most frustrating campaign to date, with injury limiting him to eight appearances in all competitions since the start of the season.
As a result, he has been linked with a move away but a high valuation has been set in an effort to scare off interested clubs.
According to Bleacher Report, the Premier League outfit want £100m for Pogba, which Juventus cannot afford in the current climate due to the coronavirus crisis.
An exchange involving Aaron Ramsey is unlikely to materialise so Bleacher Report claim Adrien Rabiot could be used as bait.

Angel Gomes contract
Manchester United teenager Angel Gomes could be set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer.
And that, according to Goal, is because contract talks between the two parties are at a standstill.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have already made an offer to the 19-year-old with improved terms but there is still no agreement.
Last month, Gomes told United’s official website that he wants to stay and ‘win trophies’ at the club but with his contract set to expire in June – he could leave for free.

Espanyol only signed Cabrera, 28, in January having paid Getafe’s £7.8million release clause but the financial impact of the Coronavirus could see him offloaded in the upcoming transfer window.
It’s thought the uncapped Uruguayan is viewed as a low cost replacement for Dejan Lovren and his new release clause stands at £13m.
