Man Utd news: Patrice Evra slams one star after West Ham draw and defends Paul Pogba | Football | Sport

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra says Paul Pogba is not the only United player who deserves criticism following the draw with West Ham. Pogba gave away a penalty late in the first half after protecting his face from a fierce Declan Rice shot with his hands. The Frenchman received strong criticism from fans on social media and from United hero Gary Neville who was commentating on the match.
But Evra says Marcus Rashford should also be criticised for his performance at Old Trafford.
United equalised shortly after half time through Mason Greenwood but were not able to turn the game around and drew 1-1.
Evra knew it would be a tough test for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side but wanted to point out Pogba was not the only player who should be criticised.
“Like I said it will be a tough game before the game started,” Evra said on Sky Sports.

“To think I felt a little bit sorry for him, I thought he took a whack in the head. Embarrassing.
“I don’t know why VAR are looking at it that long to be honest with you. It’s a penalty. He shakes his head.
“Is he trying to make out he’s got a bloody nose? No-brainer, I don’t know what they’re looking at, it’s a penalty.
“You don’t do that, you take it in your grid.
“Well forget the fact it’s an appalling lack of discipline from Paul Pogba in terms of giving the penalty away, West Ham have been the better team for the last 15 minutes and Manchester United have been letting this game drift.
“They’ve come here, they’ve relaxed, they’ve started to play, they’ve started to create moments and now they’ve got the lead.”
“I’d say less if it was instinctive – it’s from 15 yards away that ball’s coming.”
