Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is expected to turn down all offers to keep him at the Reds with his heart set on a summer move to Barcelona, according to reports. The 30-year-old has been the subject of speculation surrounding his future in recent weeks, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Wijnaldum is said to have already been offered new terms by Liverpool, but rejected the chance to stay in favour of a reunion with former national team boss Ronald Koeman at Barca.
The midfielder will continue to rebuff any last-ditch attempts to extend his Anfield stay until the end of the campaign, according to Mirror Football.
It is claimed that Barca’s links to the Netherlands have attracted Wijnaldum to the prospect of joining for next season.
The club have historically enjoyed a strong Dutch presence that stretches back to the playing days of Johan Cruyff.
Frank Rijkaard, Frank de Boer and Patrick Kluivert are also among the famous names to star for both Barca and the Netherlands in seasons gone by.

The report claims that Wijnaldum’s interest in joining Barcelona is concrete, reaffirming the suggestion that Liverpool stand no chance of persuading him to remain on Merseyside.
A Dutch source is quoted as saying: “Barcelona has always been a big draw for him. It’s a similar situation to when Gareth Bale left Tottenham for Real Madrid, in that it is his ultimate destination.”
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp remained coy when quizzed on his future plans for Wijnaldum earlier this month.
“I have nothing to say about this,” he told reporters. “I’ve said how much I like the person and the player. So, there’s really nothing else to say about it.
“That’s not good or bad news, that’s just how it is. If there’s a decision you’ll know about it.

“Apart from that, there’s nothing else to say.”
Wijnaldum joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in 2016 after an impressive debut season with the Magpies.
He lifted the Champions League trophy three years later before helping to end Liverpool’s 30-year wait for a Premier League title the following season.
The midfielder has played over 200 games for the Reds during his spell at Anfield.
Despite the speculation surrounding his potential move to Barcelona, Wijnaldum is expected to feature for Liverpool in their top-of-the-table clash with bitter rivals Manchester United on Sunday.
