Who will replace Coquelin?
08.25: Arsene Wenger has confirmed Francis Coquelin will be leaving for Valencia, with the Frenchman expected to depart in a deal worth around £12million.
Coquelin made 105 Premier League appearances for the Gunners since joining in 2008, and Arsenal have already been linked with several potential replacements.
Check out who could be arriving at the Emirates this month to take the place of the ‘Police Officer’ here.
Liverpool offered Moura
08:20: Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Lucas Moura from PSG.
That’s according to French newspaper Le Parisien.
The player’s representatives have supposedly told the Reds they can sign him as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
And that could rankle with Manchester United, who are also keen on the 25-year-old.
Rafinha Ozil replacement
08.10: Arsenal have made an offer for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, according to reports in Spain.
The Brazilian is said to be on the mend from a long-term knee injury and is attracting interest from a host of top clubs.
Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the Gunners have approached the midfielder with an offer, along with Celta Vigo and Inter Milan.
Arsene Wenger is said to want Rafinha as a replacement for Mesut Ozil who is yet to sign a new deal and could leave in the summer for free.
Messi blocks Liverpool deal
08:00: Lionel Messi has supposedly stopped Liverpool signing Sergi Roberto.
Diario Gol say the Barcelona star does not want Roberto to leave the Nou Camp.
Liverpool enquired about the 25-year-old’s availability while negotiating for Philippe Coutinho.
But, on Messi’s orders, the player ended up staying at Barcelona.
Umtiti staying…
07.30: Gerard Pique insists Samuel Umtiti will be at Barcelona for many years to come.
The defender has been linked with Manchester United and City but Pique insists he’s staying put.
“I’m not worried about what clubs might or might not do,” said Pique.
“Umtiti is a great player and we expect him to stay at Barca for many more years and for him to enjoy his football with us.
“To an extent, the buyout clause is made high so that you can’t buy the player. As time goes by, that fee doesn’t seem so high at all, but the player still has to want to leave.
“We’re very happy with Umtiti and I’m sure he’s going to stay here for a very long time.”
Man Utd’s Marco Asensio offer
06:00: Manchester United have reportedly tabled a huge offer to sign Real Madrid star Marco Asensio this month.
Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil and Bordeaux ace Malcom have been shortlisted as potential targets, as United seek to have a strong second half of the campaign and challenge for silverware.
Meanwhile, Asensio has struggled for game time at the Bernabeu and mainly been on the bench.
And according to Spanish publication Don Balon, Mourinho has stepped up the hunt and placed an offer for Asensio.
The offer has been described as “massive” and he report suggests he is giving serious consideration.
Arsenal Mesut Ozil hint
05:30: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dropped a huge hint surrounding the future of Mesut Ozil.
The German is out of contract at the end of the season and can now sign a pre-agreement with a foreign club.
But Wenger insists that he plans for the playmaker to remain with his squad and he hopes to tie him down to a longer contract.
The French manager also confirmed that midfielder Francis Coquelin has completed his move to Valencia.
Shock Chelsea transfer claim
05:00: Ian Wright is adamant that Ross Barkley wasn’t Antonio Conte’s top transfer target for Chelsea this window.
Barkley joined Chelsea in a £15million deal last Friday from Everton.
And Wright thinks Conte would much rather have signed Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal than Barkley.
“I don’t think Ross [Barkley] was his first choice,” Wright told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“I think it was Arturo [Vidal].
“And that’s the kind of player he wanted to have.”
Liverpool to fast-track Naby Keita deal
04:30: Naby Keita could join Liverpool this month as long as they pay £13million, it has been said.
As things stand, the Guinea international will head to Anfield on July 1.
However, with Philippe Coutinho joining Barcelona over the weekend in a deal worth £142m, Jurgen Klopp has stepped up his search to find a replacement.
And according to German paper Bild, Liverpool will have to pay £13m if they want to sign Keita before the January transfer window closes.
It is suggested that Leipzig have softened their stance as they want to generate more money so as not to fall foul of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.
Lionel Messi’s Barcelona demand
04:00: Barcelona star Lionel Messi is reportedly desperate for the La Liga giants to get rid of team-mate Andre Gomes.
Gomes has been accused of not suiting the club’s style of play though and that has seen him linked with a move away.
The latest reports from Spain suggest if the 24-year-old is sold, Messi will be more than happy to see him go.
According to Diario Gol, Messi is Gomes’ “worst enemy” in Ernesto Valverde’s team.
And the Argentine would like to see him sold this month or in the summer if needs be.
