Liverpool fans fume at Gini Wijnaldum’s reaction to Alisson Becker goal | Football | Sport

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker produced one of the most incredible moments of the season as he scored a 95th minute winner against West Brom, but Reds fans were left unhappy with the way Georginio Wijnaldum celebrated.
Liverpool got out of jail thanks to an unforgettable Alisson goal at the Hawthorns.
The Reds were sloppy throughout the game and failed to create anything going forward, with their front three void of any creativity.
Mohamed Salah’s well-taken strike cancelled out Hal Robson-Kanu’s opener, but it was left for Alisson to produce the moment of the club’s season in the 95th minute.
The goal sparked wild celebrations on and off the pitch, but one Reds player was seen avoiding getting involved entirely.
Wijnaldum, who is widely expected to leave the club in the summer, was dropped for the game against already-relegated West Brom.
And it seemed he didn’t take too well to the snub, as he was the only player not to involve himself in the celebrations.
As Alisson wheeled away in celebrations with the rest of his team-mates, Wijnaldum simply turned and walked away.
Liverpool fans were less than impressed with the midfielder’s behaviour, and didn’t hide their feelings on social media.
“Wijnaldum doesn’t bother celebrating, start Jones the final 2 games and keep Salah skipper,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote: “Wijnaldum should never wear the shirt again. Watch him at the back post like f*** all’s happened.”
“Nah Wijnaldum is just a d******* at this point f*** off to Spain immediately, Barcelona was Origi’s night anyway,” another ranted.
“Wijnaldum only player not to celebrate Alissons goal just walked off. little t***** and good riddance in the summer,” another posted.
Wijnaldum is expected to leave on a free this summer, with his contract set to expire.
The 30-year-old Dutchman has been locked in negotiations for some time now, but is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Instead, he is widely expected to sign for Barcelona, having been targeted by the La Liga side last year.
Jurgen Klopp had been eager to keep him, but is now set to move on from the Champions League and Premier League-winning midfielder.
