Real Madrid target £50m Gabriel Martinelli
Real Madrid are interested in signing £50m-rated Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli following his stellar start to life at the Emirates.
Martinelli rocked up in north London last summer after emerging as one of South America’s top rising talents and swapping Brazilian outfit Ituano for the Gunners.
He scored in Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw at Chelsea, with his goal the 10th he’s scored in all competitions since signing on the dotted line at Arsenal.
The Daily Mail report Arsenal have slapped a £50m price tag on Martinelli in an attempt to cool Real’s interest in prising him away.

Newcastle want Tottenham defender
Tottenham outcast Danny Rose is on Steve Bruce’s wish list as the Newcastle boss seeks to add a left-back to his injury-hit squad before deadline day.
Rose is on the fringes of Jose Mourinho’s plans in north London and Daniel Levy and co. are ready and waiting for offers to come in for him.
Sky Sports report Newcastle are interested in landing the England international this month after his defence was hit by a fresh pair of setbacks.
Paul Dummett and Jetro Willems are both out for the rest of the season, meaning Bruce is in need of bodies to strengthen his roster.

Leeds agree Man City loan deal
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is poised to strengthen his promotion-chasing squad with the loan capture of Manchester City youngster Ian Carlo Poveda.
The Daily Mail report Leeds have already agreed a deal with City for the winger, who was previously on the books of Arsenal and Barcelona.
Bielsa could do with an attacker to come in and spark his stuttering side into life as they attempt to finally seal a return to the Premier League.
Poveda might be just the ticket, with Leeds looking like they’ve beaten off rival interest from Torino to get him on board.

Man Utd’s Bruno Fernandes transfer in danger
Manchester United need to get a deal for Bruno Fernandes done in this transfer window or they face losing out in the race to sign the Sporting Lisbon captain.
Jorge Mendes, who’s acting as a fixer between the two clubs, has revealed Sporting have held talks with other sides over the highly-rated midfielder.
“If he doesn’t leave now, he will leave for sure in the summer,” he said. “Because Sporting have already spoken with other clubs. Something will happen but I am not sure if now or at the end of the season.”
Tottenham are thought to have considered a move for Fernandes this month, with Juan Foyth seen by Jose Mourinho as a potential makeweight who could tempt Sporting into doing business.

Liverpool rejected Ryan Fraser talk
Liverpool have no interest in snapping up Ryan Fraser if he become a free agent when his Bournemouth contract expires at the end of the season.
Fraser last year emerged as a target for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea having put in a string of stellar performances on the way to racking up seven goals and 14 assists in the Premier League.
In the autumn it was claimed Liverpool had been keeping tabs on him ahead of a potential January window move or end-of-season Bosman swoop.
The Mirror report, however, that the Reds distanced themselves from speculation regarding Fraser, who has now been linked with West Ham.

Chelsea make Edinson Cavani offer
Chelsea have offered Paris Saint-Germain a fee of £5m to take Edinson Cavani on loan for the rest of the season as Frank Lampard seeks to bolster his attack.
Express Sport understands the Uruguayan is in Lampard’s sights amid fears Tammy Abraham might be set for a lay-off due to an ankle injury suffered this week against Arsenal.
Chelsea want to loan PSG’s all-time top goalscorer, whose contract expires in the summer and who currently earns £360,000 a week at the Parc des Princes.
Chelsea are prepared to cover those wages, but PSG are only interested in a permanent deal, with a £15m price tag slapped on Cavani’s head.

Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang problem
Arsenal’s decision to hand Mesut Ozil a £350,000-a-week contract has impacted their chances of tying Barcelona target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang down to a new deal, claims former Premier League star Shaka Hislop.
“If you’re Aubameyang, you’re quite clearly the best player on their books,” Hislop told ESPN FC. “I’ve always said that Mesut Ozil continues to cause them a problem in terms of offering new contracts.
“If you are asking for a new contract, you want to be on Mesut Ozil money. I’m not sure that Arsenal can afford that. At the same time, amazingly, we’re talking about Arsenal’s best player, contract running out, yet again.
“How many times have we been seeing this in the last five or six years? Alexis Sanchez, Ozil, even before that, Van Persie leaving.
“It amazes me how poorly Arsenal are running their business. Even so whether there’s 18 months or 28 months, when Barcelona comes calling, as a player, you listen.”
