Kate Middleton has been photographed visiting the Victoria and Albert museum in London. The Duchess of Cambridge took a close look at the Fabergé exhibition which showcases over 200 objects and celebrates the work of Carl Fabergé.

The shirt is from Ralph Lauren and costs £139.

You can buy it here on sale at Country Attire for £122.95.

The fabric is also available in a long-sleeve dress.

Since the appearance was inside, Kate wore a black face mask, and kept her hair back – which was curled – in a ponytail.

She paired the blouse with high-waisted black trousers and a patent black belt with cold buckle.

Completing the look, the Duchess wore gold hoops and her wedding band and engagement ring.

Three of the decorative eggs have been given by the Queen for the exhibition.

The three eggs loaned to the museum by the monarch are the Colonnade Egg, Basket of Flowers Egg and the Mosaic Egg.

When looking at the Peacock Egg, which features an enamelled gold peacock perched on a flowering branch, Kate was heard saying: “I love the tree”.

The senior royal was accompanied on her tour by V&A director Tristram Hunt and shown around by curator Kieran McCarthy.

Speaking after the visit, Mr McCarthy said Kate had been “fascinated by the whole subject”.

Apparently, Kate showed a candid curiosity and interest for the exhibition.

He said: “That came through over and over again, just ‘How did they do that? Why does that look like that?’

“There was a lot of why and wherefore in the discussion, which was very interesting because it takes a sophistication to look beyond seeing the spectacle to actually probe into the details, and that was there.”
