No stranger to a royal engagement, is often pictured alongside her family, pulling funny faces or beaming confidently at the camera. Body language expert Darren Stanton spoke to Coffee Friend about the most excitable of and three children.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left the world in awe with their latest family Christmas card in 2021.

Displaying the family of five beaming and wearing casual clothes on their holiday in Jordan, the royal parents gave a little insight into their family life.

Darren Stanton remarked: “While the two princes, George and Louis, have adopted the same pose and position with their arms and legs – mirroring each other, Princess Charlotte sits with a slightly more turned posture suggesting she has a different personality to her siblings.”

Despite being extremely young, Princess Charlotte takes life in the limelight in her stride.

Rather than being shy at royal engagements, she is often seen interacting with the crowds, waving enthusiastically.

When William and Kate took their children to the King’s Cup in 2019, the princess was even seen sticking her tongue out, which resulted in laughter from spectators.

Charlotte had spotted her grandfather, Michael Middleton, in the crowd, and decided to do this funny, carefree gesture.

Even though there is an expectation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children to act with some decorum, Princess Charlotte still enjoys being childlike and whimsical.

DON’T MISS

But her fun-loving, sassy nature isn’t atypical, as the princess very much resembles another royal back in his younger days.

“She’s outspoken and cheeky like William, who was an outgoing little boy who knew his mind.”

Body language expert Judi James told the Express that Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Charlotte have a special bond which is rooted in fun and laughs.

“Charlotte’s facial resemblance to the Queen as a young girl is marked and, thanks also to William and Kate’s daughter’s signals of social confidence, she is often seen close to the Queen looking happy and relaxed, suggesting a mutually close relationship.

“She sat on the Queen’s lap for one formal portrait and when that position was taken by her younger brother Louis for the next formal shot it was still Charlotte sitting close, between the Queen and Prince Philip, raising one hand in the air to suggest she was totally relaxed and totally uninhibited in their company.”

Darren Stanton concluded that Princess Charlotte is part of what seems like a close, joyous family.

Referring again to the Christmas card, he stated: “The first thing that strikes me about the photo is that everybody pictured is flashing a genuine smile – so often in photographs, no matter how important the person being photographed is, fake smiles are shown and faces can seem very disingenuous.

“In this particular picture, everyone is displaying genuine emotion, which would suggest it’s a very happy time for the family right now.”
